It was a long time that Wisma Saberkas did not organised any PC Fair already. KCBA (Kuching Computer Business Association) has organised their ICT Fair at BCCK for the pass few years and this year maybe on low budget they have it at Wima Saberkas in this Merdeka month. But that doesn’t matter at all. What really interested public is what are the below cost gadget they can get in the ICT Fair! After going for a round, I cant find anything interested me and the offer is not attractive at all. Luckily the ICT Fair got Happy Hour! Which you can get certain items at below cost!
The Happy Hour is only available on Friday or the 1st day of the ICT Fair only and the Happy Hour session start at 11am & 6pm until stock last. They had 8GB Toshiba Handy Drive for RM9 (NP:RM29), Wireless Optical Mouse RM9 (NP:RM30?), Cooling Pad RM9 (NP:RM29) and Toshiba 500GB USB3 External Hard Disk RM99 (NP:RM179). Yeah the most attractive item definitely is the Hard Disk. So as early as 2 hours before the happy hour start already got peoples queue up. A lot of people complain that why only 5 units, why not 20 units, why only Friday and not Saturday and Sunday? These are the complain from those who can’t manage to get the hard disk 😛 But one thing I do agree is that why the sponsor so stingy that only offer 5 units per session? It should had 20 units as well same as other happy hour items.
Another attractive thing is the RM1 auction! Yes, start from RM1 but you definately wont get it at RM1 😛
The auction start as soon as the happy hour finished. For the first day of auction they had Avast Antivirus, the final bidding price for it is RM35 (RM49 selling price). Then Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 3G version, final bidding price RM830 (RM999 selling price) and finally the Samsung Active S. For the 2nd and 3rd day, they had Asus MeMo Pad, Fonepad, Canon Digital Camera, Acer ICONIA Tab and notebook for auction.
Overall the Happy Hour and Auction is consider success but the fair need to improve a lot. And they din’t really promote new gadget like the latest Asus Nexus 7 (2013). Even its not available in Malaysia yet, but they still can get a demo set to tease the geeks in Kuching.
